In the summer of 2017, trails from Munich set off to record a very special debut album in the heat of the American southern states. More than a month of collaboration with renowned producer Rick del Castillois in Austin, Texas (USA), who has composed unforgettable film scores for Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill: Vol.2) and Robert Rodriguez (Sometime in Mexico). In addition, more than 10 top-class session musicians were used. This extraordinary constellation is the breeding ground for a very special 'Urban Western' sound. The debut album 'Desert Lullabies' (release: autumn 2017) convinces with honest handmade music. On 12 multi-faceted songs, Trails combine organic guitar work with the sounds of traditional instruments (such as banjo, violin, cello and double bass) in an unmistakable manner. The works create a dense atmosphere and tell stories with personal texts and haunting metaphors. The starting point of the musical inspiration is the search for a very special place that offers space for creativity and reflection far away from everyday compromises. 'Desert Lullabies' is a rousing musical road trip that leads the listener to undiscovered paths to exactly this spot.
