Dávid Makó, besides having spent years fronting Stereochrist and Haw, two of Hungary’s primer stoner / doom bands has reached deep within his soul and tapped into his primal instincts and heritage to come up with sings so pure that it makes it hard for listeners not to be moved instantly by the intensity and sincerity of his anthems of love, hate, desperation and joy. Walking along the lines of American folk music and Hungarian traditionals, successfully merging two worlds one would think couldn’t be further away, The Devil’s Trade is a one man gang chained to some burden that he pulls through his ways leaving tracks behind to lead or guide mostly him which directions not to and which to go again. The legs are old, wounded up to the knees as the tracks are that deep and filled with sticks and stones, but strict marks that lead him where to arrive. His music is the dust he shakes during this pilgrimage of his.

After popping up nearly every corner of Hungary and select European shows, Those Miles We Walked Alone, his critically acclaimed 2014 debut album just got a makeover, with five extra songs recorded for a deluxe vinyl release our 1st August, 2016 on A38 Records.

Make sure you catch up David / The Devil’s Trade across Europe in the winter of 2016 and celebrate the fallibility of life through the eyes (and songs) of a man who has fallen many times, yet bounced back with a mission to deliver parts of his soul to any audience who is receptive enough to sit back listen and flow with the beauty and simplicity of heartfelt music.
