The Chevin are quickly becoming one of Britain's newest and best rock bands on the scene. The quartet from a small town outside of Leeds, are picking up steam with a Summer tour opening for Franz Ferdinand, and a performance on the Late Show with David Letterman later in the Summer. Previously seen supporting White Lies, The Airborne Toxic Event and The Pigeon Detectives, as well as shows at SXSW 2012, the band released their debut EP 'Champion' on Fierce Panda at the start of the year.
Named after a hill in their hometown of Otley, The Chevin were formed in 2010 and focussed their energies on perfecting their sound in rehearsal rather than playing live shows. They recorded a complete demo version of Borderland at Girelli's home studio, and used the results to pickup management before self-funding the recording of the Borderland album under Noah Shain's (Skrillex, Fool's Gold) expert guidance in a vintage recording studio in El Paso, Texas. Now with a completed full length album, and a busy summer schedule, The Chevin have all the attributes needed to be the UK's next international breakthrough band.
