Later on, bassist Ryan Weddle joined the band to complete the current line up. The band gained notoriety by creatively blending elements of rock, funk, blues and hip hop.

The road has been a friend to the band as they have headlined three separate tours across the United States in support of their latest album, “Strange Nights” which was produced by Mike Sutherland and Kaleo Wassman from the band, Pepper. The album also features Jared Watson, from Dirty Heads on the track, “Waste the Night”.

With no sign of slowing down, Katastro will be playing High and Mighty Fest in August, sharing the stage with Sublime with Rome, Dirty Heads, Method Man and Jurassic 5. The festival performance will be followed by a headlining tour up the west coast.

Katastro’s first release was their 2007 EP entitled, “The Wonderful Daze” followed by “The Facts” in 2008. In 2009, the band put out their first full length album called, “Poking Holes in A Pattern” which was produced by Bob Hoag (The Ataris, The Format, Gin Blossoms).
