PRESENTED BY JAMES MAAD

Filipe Catto is one of the greatest voices coming from Brazil in the 21th century. Catto is a diva, a stage artist. Something between Freddie Mercury and Maria Bethânia, Bolero and High Fashion Glam Rock. Since the begging of his career, Catto turns himself into crafting his live perfomances with the vision of a complete artist. "I record music as an excuse to built a show up. Onstage is where I fell like a true artist, connecting with the music and the audience on real time. That's my thing"

Based on his new record, "CATTO", the new tour is called "The Birth of Venus". The title was inspired by the song "Lua Deserta (Desert Moon)", and captures the feeling of beauty and rebirth of the new work.

"This concert is a celebration, a sensorial experience of light, sound and texture. I think of this spectacle as a shamanic ritual using pop music as a vehicle to promote a sense of overflowing, connection and freedom."

The set list is mostly made out of the new material sowed with previous hits like "Adoração", "Depois de amanhã" and "Do fundo do coração"

The band, formed by Felipe Puperi (guitars, keyboards and samples), Michele Abu (drums and percussion) and Fabio Sá (bass and synths) dinamizes trough the collage of sound textures, electronic and a indie pop gypsy influence combined with rock n roll and Brazilian music.

Directed by Catto himself, "The Birth of Venus" shines out of one the most inspiring moments of the artist ever, with a thrilling repertoire and an unique, hypnotizing performance. "
