The Shears are a perfect example of a culmination of talent that works. It's quite odd to think that Craigslist is the thread that connected these musicians and now form The Shears.
The band hit the local Austin scene gigging, creating a name for themselves. Their performances across town earned them a spot on the Top Ten Best New Indie bands by the Austin Music Awards, Austin Chronicle. An incredible achievement for a band that's been performing for less than a year. Recently the band recorded an EP. The Shears, being fans of Speak (well liked band from Austin) asked Troupe Gammage to co-produce the EP, he accepted. The self titled EP is mix of melody, lyrics, and raw energy captured in 5 songs. It's an impeccable introduction to the fraternity of music. Enjoy.
