PRESENTED BY TINA EDWARDS

We were touring in Australia, when we arrived in the country we were so desperate to see the beach it was the first thing we did… anyway we didn’t really use our brains at the time and focused too much on “getting in the water”, and not enough on getting out of the after and most importantly, the weather… We hadn’t organized anywhere to stay and suddenly we found ourselves on a rainy, windy beach, cold, with nowhere to go and no idea where to find somewhere… But we had each other and so we just bumbled until we met a girl, who invited us back to her house to stay the night, (thanks Tish)…

Anyway we penned this song together as a band when we went to Australia, Keo was still in the group at the time…. The melody in the verse came to Jamie on that beach and then we wrote the rest of the song a year later when we returned… It’s funny because we didn’t touch it until a few days before we left on tour, we just came up with a few lyrics at home, then it kind of wrote itself in its motherland when we were back..

This song was recorded 3 times before we were happy with it… It was the first song we decided to record and Manu and I took it to a number of mixers producers for refinement who couldn’t seem to grasp it’s concept… so this song was a big factor in making us want to mix the album ourselves again. We knew there was something great there, we just had to whittle it and it took quite a long time to get right.
