PRESENTED BY TINA EDWARDS

We were in Italy on tour and our van was broken into, it was one of the darker moments in our time and what was an incredible high turned into a massive low. All of our equipment was stolen, instruments, amps, drums etc… it was a complete nightmare… both logistically and mentally…

Anyway this song was written on that day, I was in someone’s flat in Rome, post robbery, and I started thinking about Justin Bieber. Momentarily, it didn’t last long but was enough to give me the word “Baby” (His first single repeated it many times)

The song is about feeling sorry for yourself, and then basically realizing you are being pathetic, or maybe unhelpful.
It’s about perspective . . .

The middle section is about feeling like you are cradling the weight of the world in your arms. That’s something people do, they just take things way too seriously in life and forget about the really serious things. Like health and happiness and companionship.

Also I had a son a year later… that gave a whole new meaning to the song before we recorded it. Though it was really inspired by adult babies..

We love playing it live.
