Citing influences from artists like Smashing Pumpkins, Violent Soho, Rise Against and Nirvana, alternative rock band Venice on Fire are a heavy-hitting and hard-rocking three-piece based in Toowoomba, Queensland.

The trio, made up of Tom Gillespie on guitar and vocals, Jarrod Hall on bass and Darcy Cavanough on drums, combine elements of punk, hard rock, indie and grunge to create a distinct and aggressive sound.

Forming in a small town in south-west Queensland called Roma, the band has gone on to release two releases, including their debut album Tempt A Saint, and have opened for Kingswood and played with respected acts like Mercury Sun, Something Something Explosion, Creo, On The Verge and Big Whoops.

Their singles, including the infectious hooks of ‘(An Open Door May) Tempt A Saint’, have featured on community radio stations across Australia and the album has been praised by Heavy Mag Australia.
