PRESENTED BYJAMES MAAD

Tomaccos was born in 1926 when Captain Edward Mill decides to leave aside his life as skipper of the Mississippi Queen to fulfill his dream to play his old washboard. For this, he would draft his old fellows from his home town, Easyhill, TN.: the famous clarinetist Suzanne Baquet and Al Monseau, the street guitar player.

Their steps led them to go along the course of the river Maumee until Toledo, OH where they attend the agricultural fair in 1927 where old Rodderick Owens had a tomato and tobacco stand. Drinking sarsaparillas they find out his great talent for double bass, and completed his formation.

Their style drinks from whiskey, the most southern country and hillbilly and the music of the French settlers; achieving a XXX proof cocktail where dancing and fun are unavoidable.

At any time you can see them appearing in their splendid Ford Depot Hack driven by the frustrated headhunter Agnes Bazini, fondly remembered for her role as an extra in Lone Hand Wilson (1920)

Their journey will lead them from town to town selling Tomacco and sharing their music to anyone who wants to listen to it.
