THE ROBBIE BOYD BAND - SPRING GENERATION

PRESENTED BY TINA EDWARDS

The Robbie Boyd Band have a uniquely feel-good funky folk sound. They recently made their television debut on ITV's This Morning performing 'I won't let you go' live. They also made the top 20 of MTV's Brand New Unisgned 2013. Fresh from an Argentinean tour, which included sold out shows, national radio and television interviews and performances, the band are currently recording their first album.

They've already had lots of national radio play in the UK for their first four singles on the likes of BBC Radio 2 (Graham Norton), Absolute Radio (Dave Gorman), 6 Music (Tom Robinson) and many more. The Chris Evans Breakfast Show invited Robbie to perform his song 'A London Reminition' at the BBC Radio 2 studio during the London Olympics.

The band have supported The Kooks at Harvest at Jimmy's Festival, The Mutton Birds and Delays at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, and have now toured Argentina, Austria, France, Germany and Italy as well as the UK which included three sold out London shows at the Barfly, Borderline and Hoxton Bar & Kitchen. 2012 festival highlights included Bestival, Wilderness and Duckstein (Germany).

The Robbie Boyd Band have built a large international fan base of nearly 9,000 Facebook fans and just under 500,000 YouTube views on their channel thanks to a very busy gig schedule over the last two years. Their performances have been written about in The Times, Evening Standard and The Telegraph, and the first song of Robbie's to be played on national radio, 'Oh Alaska', made the finals of the International Songwriting Competition in Nashville.

Robbie's charming songwriting and distinctive vocals combine with colourful arrangements and nostalgic harmonies, provided by an eclectic mix of talented musicians, to produce an exciting and uplifting contemporary Folk-Pop-Rock sound. Robbie's catchy songs will get you singing along to their irresistible choruses and are sure to have a lasting effect on you. Catch them live near you soon.
