STRINGS FOR AMMO - JUDGEMENT
PRESENTED BY ALLAN
Hailing originally from Durham, North East England, Steve moved to Australia in early 2011 and has been performing solo and as a duo since he relocated. Steve's music has taken him around the world from playing large scale band gigs to small scale intimate solo shows. He previously fronted a band back in his homeland and had some success in British Rock and Indie charts. Steve has now found the kind of music, and musicians, where writing comes easily and his distinctive eclectic knowledge is apparent through-out the tracks.
Joe was born in Northern Ireland where he learned his trade as a teenager before moving to Australia in February 2011 to pursue his music career. He is a highly accomplished fiddle player and was brought up learning Irish and classical forms of playing. This is evident in his ability to adapt to many different playing styles, which is clear in Strings for Ammo's sound. Joe has played in America, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, New Caledonia to name a few, in traditional Irish bands including the Brisbane-based band, Sásta. As well as performing, Joe also taught the fiddle for many years, keeping traditional Irish music alive in many small Irish communities. Joe is now fully focused on making performance his priority and feels Strings for Ammo have the tools to be a success.
