PRESENTED BY MATT CALDER

//Winners of the BalconyTV Exeter Show Of The Year 2016//

Spark The Sail are a 5 piece mix of pop rockers with a punk edge! It's been difficult to find one specific genre for the band to call home as their eclectic mix of styles and influences have helped to form a unique sound which is entirely their own. Fronted by Ryan and Jodie, who's vocals weave around and intertwine with one another to create something truly special, the band was given the electric treatment in 2014 after a series of chance encounters in Bristol. The band found it's legs in the form of support slots for bands such as The Hoosiers, The Fratellis and a slot at The Isle Of Wight festival. The band went on to release their debut EP "Sapphire Deep" to positive reviews and a sold out EP launch at the infamous Louisiana in November last year.

This year Spark The Sail have toured the UK, supported Scouting For Girls at a picturesque beach in Cornwall and released the brand new single "Polystyrene Heart" complete with music video. There are big things coming from Spark The Sail right now, with an upcoming UK tour announced and half of 2016 left to go they are showing no signs of slowing down so keep those eyes peeled and get down to a show!
