PRESENTED BY NICK STUBBLEFIELD
Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter/producer SHEARE (Brandon Sheer) crafts sunny, summery pop songs that have expansive depth behind them. His songwriting chops have resulted in collaborations with super-producer Benny Benassi (the thumping "I Keep Running," from Benassi's 2016 album Danceaholic), and his effervescent, hook-laden singles grabbed the attention of major pop tastemakers near the end of 2016.
After making a bold introduction with his glittery singles, SHEARE now will take a different turn on his debut EP TURBULENCE, which was released on May 12, 2017. Over the past few months, Brandon was going through many changes in her personal life, including a long-term relationship ending and having to come to terms with those feelings. The end result is a darker tone from what we’ve heard from SHEARE before, as he grapples with the feelings of loss and understanding of how to move forward.
SHEARE's music is the product of a singular vision, one that isn't afraid to look up close at life's more difficult moments in order to get through them—and maybe reach a point where things aren't perfect, but where the sun shines a little more brightly. This vision goes beyond just the music to fully encompass the artwork featured on the EP, and SHEARE’s personal style to fully execute a vision in the way that a couture designer might – with sharp precision and an end result that looks simple, but is extremely complex.
