"They didn't plan on starting an international sensation. It just turned out that way," wrote Newsday right before the band's breakout showing at last year's CMJ Music Festival. Their biggest year yet went on to include performances at SXSW, Skate and Surf Festival, Fashion Meets Music Festival, sharing bills with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Circa Survive, Brick + Mortar, Cold War Kids, Local Natives, Born Cages, Neon Hitch, Joywave, Diane Birch, Driver Friendly, + more, and playing major local venues including a headlining show at Bowery Ballroom, Gramercy Theater and Brooklyn Bowl (KCRW's "It's a School Night!") in just the past year.
Following the explosive success of the band's debut full-length release, "Twenty One Rooms" and their viral music video for "Hold Up Girl" - which was heralded by The Wall Street Journal as "the cleverest DIY video since OK Go," - NGHBRS has released two new songs off their upcoming Mike Sapone- produced (Taking Back Sunday, Brand New) EP.
NGHBRS is Ian Kenny (Vocals), Jordan Schneider (Drums) and Tommy Fleischmann (Guitar).
