PRESENTED BY MICA

“Mòn” is an indie/pop/folk music project born in 2014 in Rome, Italy.

The band is formed by five young musicians: Rocco Zilli (voice + synth), Carlotta Deiana (voice), Michele Mariola (guitar), Dimitri Nicastri (drums) and Stefano Veloci (bass guitar). Initially conceived as an indie-folk project, it begins to evolve right away from exploring the sonorities of the different musical worlds from which each one of the members comes. They find their balance giving space to valves, analogue effects and more powerful, rhythmic, to which they continue to contrast melancholic and intimate vocal lines. In December 2016 they signe with the Italian label Urtovox rec. On February 3rd, 2017 they release their first single, "Lungs", followed by the debut of its videoclip, directed by the talented Italian illustrator Marco Brancato, who is also the author of their third video, “Fragments”, together with Michele Manca. “Lungs” wins the Prize as Best Music Video Clip at The Gargano Film Fest 2017 and it’s mentioned at PIVI, the Prize for the best Independent Italian Video Clips powered by MEI. On May 12, they release their first album "Zama"(Urtovox rec). The second single, “Fluorescence” is immediately added to some Spotify playlists (“Italians Do It Better”, “Top 50 Viral Italy”, “New Music Friday”). The Italian photographer and videomaker Giacomo Favilla is chosen as the director of this second videoclip, “Fluorescence”.

On May 2017 Mòn starts their “Zama Tour”, managed by L’Eretico Booking, playing all around Italy and over, for more than 60 concerts in one year. Their songs have been chosen to be part of the soundtrack for Italian TV series, trailers and short films. Mòn are now working on their new album, that will be released in 2019.
