Luis Guzmán is a peruvian band formed in 2011 by Santiago Barriga, Giacomo Roncagliolo, Hernando Suárez and Mario Acuña. During these years, the band has been constantly playing a lot of concerts in different of venues throughout the city of Lima and also in some cities around the country, always getting a great response from the audience that has rapidly made them one of the most important bands of the new musical indie scene in Lima.
In April 2013, they released "Para No Leer Más", their first LP. "Los Gusanos" and "La Hermana De Coco", the first two singles from the album have music videos made by Pasaje 18 and have had very good response from MTV audiences. "Verano del 2011", song that puts a closure to the album is also part of the soundtrack for "Niñas Mal 2", a latinamerican soap opera currently on air vía MTVLA.
Other singles like "Anfibio" are also been heavily played in different radios across the country. All of this made that local and international media released a good amount of great reviews for the band, naming them an act to never miss if you get to Perú. By the end of 2013, "Para No Leer Más" was nominated in the "Best Album" category by the most important newspaper in Perú, Diario El Comercio.
Right now, Luis Guzmán is recording what will become their sophomore album, planned to be released by the month of August this year. "Chinesse" is one of the first cuts from this new album, premiering here at Balcony TV.
