PRESENTED BY LEON FELDMAN
A year and a half ago, Liron Amram started performing with a new show, that showcased his groundbreaking integration between western and middle eastern music. Old school which is actually new school; a contemporary edge and style that does not recycle the expected and familiar formulas.
A descendant to one of Israel's most important musical families, Liron grew up beside songs, rhythms and the great innovator Aharon Amram, which was the first to introduce live instruments to Yemenite music. Liron has dispatched his heritage to the 21st century and created a unique mixture of electronic beats, black funk, African grooves, heavy dub basslines, swirling guitars and a seventies rebellion vibe. He has quickly been recognized as the first revolutionary in Israel's alternative Mediterranean music scene, and its new fresh voice.
Liron Amram – Vocal and Guitar
Yonatan Daskal – keyboard
Ran kaufman – bass
Tal kohavi - drums
Uri Zer-Aviv (Haaretz) - "...Liron features a peacockish look, vibratos and a spicy yet elegant sence of punk, like "schug" [typical Yemenite hot sauce] with yogurt. His appearance declares the unique cultural mixture he stands for, a native hipster."
