PRESENTED BY ERIKA HENNING

June Low is the project of Brisbane-based singer-songwriter, Emma White. Her music is an eclectic mix of dark roots, indie-pop and rock which combines rawness with translucent beauty. With a stirring voice and adventurous guitar playing, this creates a sound that is by turns meditative, unexpected and confronting. The lyrics of June Low find inspiration in those moment-to-moment experiences that re-shape your perceptions.

Over the years, June Low has supported artists such as Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman), Mia Dyson, Kellie Lloyd (Screamfeeder) and Sabrina Lawrie (Tongue, Little Vegas and the Fuzz Parade). Her most memorable gig was playing at a women's prison in 2011 as part of a vigil to raise awareness of domestic violence.

In March 2015, June Low released debut album, Exhale, a largely indie-folk affair, produced by Skritch (Gota Cola, Mary Trembles, Woolpit) at Borough Studios to a growing audience. In November 2017 June Low released album number two produced by fellow band mate and veritable local rock legend, Brian Mann. This second album delivers a balance of solid no-holds barred rock, ballads and pop songs that fizz in your mouth.
