Julie Doiron, nacida el 28 de junio de 1972 en Moncton (New Brunswick, Canadá), es una galardonada cantante y compositora canadiense que comenzó su carrera musical en 1990, a los 18 años, tocando el bajo en una banda de folk psicodélico llamada Eric’s Trip. Grabaron tres discos para Sub Pop, encontraron reconocimiento internacional y giraron por medio mundo. Tras su álbum de 1996, “Purple Blue”, el grupo se deshizo y Doiron decidió continuar en solitario; primero, bajo el nombre de Broken Girl, para terminar firmando con el suyo propio.

Julie Doiron, born June 28, 1972 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, is an award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter who began her musical career in 1990 at the age of 18, playing bass in a psychedelic folk band called Eric's Trip. They recorded three albums for Sub Pop, they found international recognition and they revolved around the world. After their 1996 album, "Purple Blue", the group fell apart and Doiron decided to continue; First, under the name of Broken Girl, to finish signing with his own.
