PRESENTED BY MARIE DE LA MONTAGNE

Hollie Haines, an alt-folk singer-songwriter based in London plays music of powerful and honest lyrics, teamed with delicately crafted melodies. Starting off in Cambridge she played the UK's largest one-day festival, Strawberry Fair, and since has been involved with The Coffee House Sessions, Oxjam and Sofar Sounds.

2019 is looking to be the biggest year yet for Hollie. After moving to London and embarking on a seven-country EU Tour she announced her biggest project to date. The journey began in the spring when she kick started an eight-month release campaign leading up to her new album 'Letters To My Last Love'. April saw the release of the first track ‘Except For You’, a floaty love song with sparkling cello and delicate vocals. After that a new track was released monthly, each representing a unique stage of healing after losing love and covering the emotions of loving, losing, hurting, missing, healing, letting go and loving again. Last November saw the whole album released to wide online support and radio play.

When performing live, Hollie pairs her deeply emotive, honest lyrics with quips and anecdotes about the people and stories that have inspired her music, to give an enrapturing performance.
