Gian Marco Ciampa, si diploma con il massimo dei voti, lode e Menzione d’Onore in chitarra al Conservatorio "Santa Cecilia" di Roma, sotto la guida del Maestro Arturo Tallini e Bruno Battisti D’Amario.
Sin da giovanissimo svolge un'intensa attività concertistica che lo ha portato ad esibirsi e a tenere Masterclass in tutto il mondo : Australia, Giappone, Stati Uniti, Argentina,Cina, Danimarca, Germania, Francia, Spagna, Italia, Croazia, Grecia etc.
È inoltre vincitore di più di 30 premi internazionali tra cui il "Melbourne International Guitar Competition", "Tokyo International Guitar Competition" e il “Concorso Europeo di Chitarra” che lo premia con la Medaglia del Presidente della Repubblica Italiana.
Nel maggio 2016, grazie al grande impiego di social network e nuove tecnologie che utilizza nei suoi video, viene invitato a tenere un TEDxTalk per il prestigoso evento TEDxLUISS, proprio per trattare l’argomento riguardo il connubio tra musica classica e le giovani generazioni: “Who says classical music is only for old people?” è il titolo del suo speech che viene accolto da un’emozionante standing ovation del pubblico.
In occasione dell’EXPO MILANO 2015 viene chiamato ad esibirsi come rappresentante italiano della chitarra classica presso il Padiglione U.S.A. come unico artista classico invitato dal Padiglione Americano in occasione dell’Esposizione Universale 2015.
Nel 2014 viene premiato con la “Chitarra d’oro" come miglior giovane talento dal prestigioso “Concorso Internazionale Michele Pittaluga”.
In occasione della Giornata della Memoria 2013, si esibisce in diretta su Rai 3, davanti alle autorità riunite nella Sala dei Corazzieri del Quirinale.

Gian Marco Ciampa was born in Rome in 1990. After studying with high-calibre teachers
such as Bruno Battisti d’Amario, Fabrizio Verile, Fernando Lepri and Celestino Dionisi,
he graduated with top marks, distinction and Special Mention with M° Arturo Tallini from “Santa Cecilia” Conservatoire in Rome.
In 2016 his Australian Tour has been more than 10 events including concerts and masterclasses that saw the young Roman guitarist performing and giving Masterclass in prestigious avenues like the Glebe Sydney Festival, the Melbourne Conservatorium, Knox Hall of Gosford and Brisbane International Guitar Festival.
In May 2015 he left for China with CiampaBeijingTour that sees him perform with great success in concert and hold Masterclass at the "Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing," the prestigious "Academy of Opera" of Peking University and the beautiful Auditorium of 'Italian Cultural Institute of the Italian Embassy.
During the summer of 2014 he won a scholarship to attend the prestigious "New York Mannes College" and is engaged in a series of concerts in the USA as at the Manhattan Theatre in New York.
Since he was very young Gian Marco has played concerts at important venues and festivals all over the world: at the Manhattan Theatre of New York for the “New York City Classical Guitar Society”, at Beijing Auditorium, East Hall of Sydney and many more.
He has been regularly taking part in master classes both in Italy and abroad, held by world-class guitarists (Carlo Marchione, Judicael Perroy, Bruno Battisti d’Amario, Aniello Desiderio, Marcin Dylla, Nuccio d’Angelo, Fabio Zanon).
In 2013 is the founder and creator of the "SUPERNOVA", an ensemble of guitars consisting of 8 young Italian guitarists winners of international competitions.
