GERMEIN SISTERS - DA DA DO
PRESENTED BY KIRREN
Australian sisters Georgia, Ella, & Clara Germein are a refreshingly honest young female pop/folk band, who are exceptionally talented musicians. This act is the real deal. Their catchy melodies with a message are topped off with beautiful sibling harmonies, leaving listeners spell bound.
Germein Sisters completed an Australian National Tour in 2012, followed by performances in the UK, Europe, & Canada. Since then they recorded their debut album in Ireland with producer Billy Farrell (The Corrs) & Stuart Gray (Sinead O'Connor).
"Songwriter with a passion" is one way to describe lead vocalist, piano, & guitar player of the band Georgia Germein; who's award-winning music reflects her commitment to help the under privileged in the world. CEO of World Vision Australia Tim Costello defines Georgia Germein as "A remarkable young woman who will continue to sing words that breathe life into the silenced..." Drummer, sister Clara, provides such a huge pumping beat for one so petit; while sister Ella completes the tight rhythm section with tasteful bass lines and tempting treats on electric cello and synthesizer -- all adding warmth and colour to the performance.
Based on a bushland property in the Adelaide Hills - South Australia, the girls are energetic, beach loving & inspiring young role models. Georgia Germein has volunteered in the Kalahari Desert South Africa, Nepal, Malaysia & Central Australia; and is currently an Artist Associate with World Vision Australia, a Youth Advocate for the Red Cross and Nature Foundation SA, and a carer for orphaned kangaroo joeys through Fauna Rescue SA.
Georgia's songwriting awards include seven ASME Young Composers Awards, semi finalist in the International Song-writing Competition, and finalist in the Australian Song-writing Competition.
Georgia's solo album 'Take My Hand' produced by Ian Pritchett (Angus & Julia Stone) is currently receiving airplay worldwide as part of the South Australian Tourism Commission's International Online Marketing Campaign.
