Born in Cork City, Ireland in 1963. I have worked within the theatre/entertainment industry most of my life. Having spent 15 years as a Stage technician at Cork Opera House and later as Artist Liaison at Triskel Christchurch. On September 1st 2012, I enrolled on a Creative Writing Course. Three weeks later, I started writing Poetry.
The amazing thing for me was, I had never written a poem throughout my educational life, never showing a flare for it, although I did enjoy English. The poetry has flowed ever since and to be honest, I don't know where they come from and it's as if I was chosen to write them. Sometimes, I have nothing to say and can go months without a word and then suddenly, I'm sitting at my desktop unable to stop the flow. These are honest thoughts and
memories hopefully more to come. For me Honesty, Kindness, Compassion and Love, that’s what I've been practicing all my life. I guess we inherit theses qualities from those who went before us.
