PRESENTED BY BRENDA RIEPENHOFF

Growing up surrounded by nature in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York, Trevor Tunison, Fort Vine's front man, found his love of music writing at a young age. The middle child in an exceptionally artistic family, Tunison easily adopted the arts as a way of life. He collaborated with Luke Markham in college and together they recorded his first album, "The Whole Universe and Who Cares". Ready to pursue his career in music after college, Tunison moved to New York City in the fall of 2010 where he met his new roommate Nyna Nelson. They quickly discovered they had a knack for building forts and writing music together. Their secret tree fort in Harlem near the Hudson River inspired the band's name. Fort Vine picked up momentum after Luke Markham found his way to the city, reuniting Tunison's songwriting with Markham's rhythm, and Kenny Johnson joined the group.

Fort Vine's debut album, "One In The Same" was recorded in the tiny corners of the Big Apple. The title track evolved from Tunison's drive to express his belief that everyone is connected and part of something greater than any individual part of the whole. The album was fully funded by Fort Vine's fans and is a true expression of the love and sharing that exists in the world. The Indie-Rock album ranges from smooth mindful poetry to robust rocking ballads with a crisp live feel.
