It's rare that three young talented musicians get together and create such a unique yet infectious sound so early in their career. With lyrics that remind you love can only be beautiful when you've experienced the pain it brings and melodies that make you dance, Fever Pitch are ready to show the Australian music scene their potential.
They are a blend of The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Interpol. They combine melodic bass and precision drumming with rough emotive guitar, delivering a sound that demands attention.
Guitarist and singer, Dion Shaw displays a level of maturity in his lyrics and play that seasoned bands would be jealous of. Blair Westbrook, one of the most talented young drummers in the country, is able to seamlessly rotate between head bopping beats and jaw dropping technique and Jacob Siwers' bass playing is as energetic as his stage presence; his riffs perfectly complimenting the bands' overall sound.
Their debut EP "I Came Here Just to Argue" showcases their musical range. The rock track "Meet Me Outside" plays in perfect contrast with their immersive ballad, "The Way We Are at Night." Fever Pitch are excited to launch their sound on record and continue spreading their infectious display of energy at future gigs.
