Cecimonster vs Donka is an Alternative Rock band based in Lima, Peru. The band is made up of Sergio Saba (guitar/vocals), Sebastian Kouri (guitar), Alonso Garcia (bass), and Mario Acuña (drums). The band formed in 2010, and released their debut album "Solara" in mid 2011. Quickly after that they played many shows in their hometown of Lima, and did a quick one month promotional tour in London, UK in August of that same year.
In 2012, they released their follow up album "Adentro Afuera". This was their first album under "Anti Rudo" Records, and had their single "One Hundred Years" rotating in MTVLA. In October of 2012, they opened up for Argentinian singer song writer Boom Boom Kid.
In early 2013, the band took a 7 month hiatus due to personal issues, and decided to regroup in August of that same year, this time with a new drummer, Sandro Labenita (Tourista, Plug, Plug) and bassist Elias Mujica (Autobus). That year they opened up for Japandroids in their first ever show in Lima. In January of 2014, former bassist Alonso entered the band, and they began to work on their follow up album to "Adentro Afuera".
During the composing process of their thid album, Cecimonster vs Donka got hired for their biggest gig yet. Playing at the Colors Night Lights festival in el Parque de la Expsicion, next to big names such as Julian Casablancas, Pixies, and Placebo. With all the footage of this show, they released a second single / mini documentary thanks to their friends at Pasaje18 for the song "Adentro Afuera" (also the name of their Sophomore album):
One month ago they released their Junior album "Empty Beaches" again with Anti Rudo records, this time with a different feel and energy. They also give away their music at zero cost.
