PRESENTED BY LEON FELDMAN

Matan Daskal, and Shalev Ne'eman, residents of Tel Aviv, two students who met at the Rimon music collage and decided to dream big and try to translate "The Sabbath" theme and compose the course of a week. The composition started with a description of the "Motzaei Shabbat" hours, the unique character of the time on Saturday evening, and went on to describe the run of the week, its ups and downs, and our daily pursuits. It culminates with the playing of the Sabbath the long awaited day in which emptiness is created.

They gathered talented professional musicians and media people that actively participated in the making of the orchestra, and Organizations supporting the orchestra: The AVI CHAI foundation, the Israeli lottery, the Contemporary Art Center, and the Einav Cultural Center.

A magic came about when the orchestra made a surprise appearance for the first time in a public square in the Tel Aviv Noga neighbourhod (Jaffa), an independent initiative in the hope to create special and direct intimacy between the audience and the orchestra.

On August 2015, a premiere concert of Castle in Time composition was launched at the yard of the Avi Chai Foundation in Jerusalem and all the tickets Sold Out. After that the Orchestra performed at the In-D-Negev festival, Baraby TLV, CEME festival, and more. Only 8 month old, Castle in Time orchestra was selected to play in the prestigious Israel Festival 2016, Pechakucha Festival in Tel-Aviv and in the Jerusalem Sacred music festival this summer.
