PRESENTED BY AMANDA MUIRHEAD
Brent Lundy has become one of the most prominent musicians of the scene in Columbia, SC. A 2007 article by renown music writer Kevin Oliver noted that, "Every one of Lundy's bands has had the advantage of his considerable songwriting talents."
As front-man for the Ultraviolets, his songs received praise and citations from critics. He has worked with many renowned artists such as Hootie's Mark Bryan, the Connells' Steve Potak, and Peter Holsapple of the Continental Drifters.
L U N D Y formed in 2007 once the Ultraviolets disbanded, releasing an ep that received much praise, even making it to Kevin Oliver's Best of 2007 local albums. Oliver stated, "Not sure if this was an official 'release' or just something for them to give away at shows, but this brief set of original tunes served as a reminder that Brent Lundy can still write songs as catchy as the covers his band ends up playing."
Lundy went through more member changes in May of 2011, but Brent has continued his quest to complete the "lost album." In creating his Gnarly Records 2013 debut album, Lundy has worked with such greats as Kenny Aronoff, Phil Xenidis, Roger Manning, Chris Chaney and the legendary Steve Churchyard. Overflow from the lost album is currently being featured in the new Billboard Award-nominated iPhone application, MixMeIn. Please enjoy the trailer for the first release , Overflow, and hit up the itunes release of MADE TO FALL which was released February 14 of 2013.
