Bang Bang Boss Kelly formed early 2010 and were immediately on the Brisbane original music circuit playing X&Y Bar, Rics, The Zoo, The Brisbane Powerhouse and regional pubs: Joe's Waterhole, Kings Beach Tavern and Billy's Gympie. Their music has been described as folk meets punk, but to them its just rock.
After consistent gigging throughout 2010, the band released their self titled EP at the Old Museum September 2010 to a sold out show and rave reviews.
'Lone Rider', was a featured song on JJJ Unearthed, has received regular rotation on TripleZed Radio, and the film clip won the Inaugral MVMU award for Best Overall Performance and Best Cinematography.
'Boneyards' has been on regular airplay on JJJ Roots and All.
Bang Bang Boss Kelly have become a fast festival favourite, performing at Teneriffe Festival, Paddington Fair, Caloundra Music Festival, Brisbane Festival 'West End Live' and are booked for three shows at Woodford Folk Festival in the New Year.
Bang Bang Boss Kellys songs are influenced by bands from Dylan and Springsteen to Stevie Wright, as long as its Rock and Roll.
The boys are heading on the road April 2011 to release their newly recorded single 'Damian Barber'. They will head to Sydney, Melbourne and everything in between.
