Zachary Hank William Nelson Shaffer is a very versatile and talented musician. He was raised in Nashville, TN in a musical family. His father, Randy Shaffer, is a hit country song writer, with hits like She's Not Really Cheating by Moe Banby, and The Trouble with Love by Becky Williams.

Zak has resided in Toledo, OH, for the past few years, where he has played the same circuit as Crystal Bowersox did before she was on American Idol. He has been performing professionally for about 11 years with his father, various bands, and by himself. He has played in bars, restaurants, coffee shops, wineries, cigar bars, weddings, at private parties, etc. He has played on stages of notoriety, such as Tootsie's in downtown Nashville, the Key Club in Hollywood, and the World Famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood. He has opened for acts ranging from the rap/rock band Rehab, to country star Hal Ketchum, to the biggest heavy metal band in Europe, Nightwish.

Zak truly has an original voice, with his musical cohorts finding difficulty comparing him to anyone else. He sings with emotion and alot of soul, and can go from a 'country croon' to a 'rock n roll growl'. Not only is Zak an awesome vocalist and great guitarist, but he is an entertainer as well. He played radio personality "Bubba Hank" on the Old Hippy Blue Grass Hour on Q95.3 for a couple years, so you can imagine what kind of fun he can bring to the stage!
