SUSY BLUE - Songstress and carnivalesque musical all-rounder Susy Blue concocts a whimsical blend of shadowy cabaret folk.

A finalist for the Melbourne Music Prize and Darebin Music Feast Songwriter's Award, Susy Blue's unique style and voice have been recognized by critics and music lovers alike. Last year saw the release of her debut album Curly Girl, which received extensive local and national airplay, including Triple J and ABC, and won the hearts of her Paper-Deer and Motive Melbourne's Free Film Clip Competition. Drawing similarities to artists such as Fiona Apple, Laura Marling and Joanna Newsom, Susy Blue's music is a mélange of nouveau-folk, jazz, gypsy swing, surf rock, soul and bluegrass. Performing at festivals Woodford, Apollo Bay and High Noon.

Susy Blue's special performance for the Darebin Music Feast will feature her playful yet skilfully crafted tunes, accompanied by her band of gypsies, a string trio, and colourful art installations.
