One of Austin's youngest bands, Residual Kid reserve the right to rock!

Residual Kid, made up of Ben Redman (drums), Max Redman (bass) and Deven Ivy (guitar), have attracted a lot of attention lately. A band not old enough to compete in some youth band competitions yet, but producing music with talent that stands tall even in today's modern rock standards.

Brothers Ben and Max Redman began by taking to many of Austin's prime live music stages in 2008 as the Redboys, spilling their youthful talent and penchant for quality rock and roll. Their love for the classics and the newest modern had been shaping their own individual style and skills since they had been old enough to pick up their own instruments.

The brothers met Deven Ivy at rock camp in 2009 and as the friendship began, so did the musical bond. While the three began exploring their musical connection, they continued to play in front of audiences generally reserved for older bands, including an encore jam with Athen's Dead Confederate for the song "Giving It All Away".

In late 2010, they were introduced to vocalist and guitarist Grace London, an amazing and talented musician also well beyond her years. During 2011, she joined the band and together they recorded Residual Kid's debut EP, titled 'BOX'. Grace has since left the band to pursue other musical interests.
