Songwriter, guitarist and singer, Owl grew up with the likes of folk, rock, world and electronica from an early age - a sound basis for feeding his musical passion and desire to write that perfect song.
In the mid-nineties he formed a band called Qkumba Zoo which took South Africa by surprise, and got signed to Arista records in New York. Qkumba Zoo was a whirlwind experience, with the band making two albums and playing venues round South Africa, the US and Asia.
Fast-forward to today, Owl now returns to his roots and plays his songs acoustically, joining forces with Simone. With three years of voice training and a childhood influenced by musical parents, Simone offers a wide range, both vocally and in her musical knowledge.
Both a songwriter and lover of jazz, she transforms favourites into fresh, unique musical compositions. Her passion cannot be doubted when listening to her sing and her voice has been compared to the likes of Heather Nova, Joan Baez and Sarah Mclachlan.
