Born and bred in Echuca, Victoria, Benny Walker inherited his passion for music from his father and grandfathers, all talented musicians in their own right. Music was always a natural path for Benny to follow, and his soulful voice and intuitive songwriting traces the full range of the human experience, from love, loss and hope to the simple pleasures of sitting in the sunshine having a drink with your mates. With an effortless blend of soul, blues, reggae and acoustic folk, Walker's laidback style combines raw, powerful honesty with upbeat, catchy rhythms to create captivating music that you'll be humming for days.
A steady buzz has been building around Walker since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2008. Since then, he has performed at pubs, clubs and festivals around Victoria, including Echuca Winter Blues, Numurkah Foodbowl Music Festival and NAIDOC Week Celebrations at the Northcote Social Club.
Walker's new five-track EP, 'Summer Sun', was launched in December and is available now. The 'Summer Sun' tour will take Walker to Stradbroke Island, Brisbane, Melbourne and throughout regional Victoria. Add to this an appearance at Woodford Folk Festival over the New Year, and 2011 is shaping up to be a huge year for Benny Walker.

Dancing Heals is a Melbourne based five piece that tastefully weaves tales of nostalgia, angst and lust into melodic and memorable popular songs.
Combining youthful passion, soaring synths and crystal acoustics layered with the subtlety of red wine inebriation; the music lies somewhere between the thump of Arcade Fire and delicacy of Nick Drake.
The band was born in 2009 from a collection of seasoned Melbourne musicians. Featuring instruments ranging from electric and acoustic guitars, Hammonds and synths, to live drums and samples, the songs take on their own depth without conforming to any particular trend. It's easy, inviting and layered for a thousand listens.
Taking a short break from Melbourne in April 2009, Jon-Lee took the song acoustic to North America - first up, alongside Youth Group in New York City and then further shows in New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
Since their live debut as a band in February 2010, Dancing Heals have played a slew of shows in Australia... standouts including shows with Astronautalis (USA) and Fanfarlo (UK).
In October 2010, the band took a self funded 2 week trip to Los Angeles, where they played five shows at venues including the Key Club on Sunset Strip and Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. Making connections, selling a tonne of records and garnering interest from industry types, the band will return soon with more artillery.
The band are currently working with both Tony Espie (Midnight Juggernauts, The Holidays) and Paul 'Woody' Annison (Children Collide, The Living End) on finishing off works for their debut long player.

After a two-year apprenticeship playing live shows around Melbourne, including supports for pop heroes Big Scary and Loon Lake, Young Maverick are set to release their debut EP over Summer 2011/12.
Engineered and mixed by Matt Voigt (Cat Power, Oh Mercy), the result is a fine collection of fun, summery tunes that will go down a treat this holiday season.

"...Seriously makes me want to forget everything and jump around like a maniac..." -- Me And All My Friends
"...Wonderfully poppy garage gold..." -- Dave Ruby Howe, Hyperbole
"...'Reception Deception' is full of cool riffs, anthemic "OH"s and a punchy pop drive..." -- The Orange Press
"...happy-go-lucky sound that makes you feel like you're on a road trip with all of your friends..." - Erin Felton, Deaf Ambitions
