"The Painkillers is an up and coming new band, based in Cork. Featuring Paco Cuenca on guitars, vocals and rhythm, and Dee Power on keys and vocals, the duo draw influences from 40's jazz, 50's rockabilly, garage 60's and late 70's punk. Their catchy songs, soulful harmonies and swinging rhythms are what the band is all about -- killing your pain by making you dance!

Having gotten together in February 2012, they have played in a variety of venues around Cork, and are sometimes joined by saxophone maestro, Jessie Cawley. All gigs are announced on the facebook page, and the first EP will be launched in Mid July.
Fancy letting us kill your pain?!?"

The Bambir have gathered their childhood appreciation for hard rock and smuggled vinyl, Armenian traditional music and poetry, pulsing beats and whirling trances, ancient tales and pagan wails and pumped it into their own unique sound. Even though they've only been in Ireland for a few months, they're already causing a stir with their music, their tribal nature, and their beards. Since they've arrived in Ireland they've played more than 40 shows all over the country, keep an eye out for them in your home town!

Toy Soldier is an Irish based ElectroRock trio combining a dance-floor groove with hard rocking riffs. Think of your favourite club night with Lady Gaga and Marilyn Manson mashing it up on the decks.

In their short lifespan Toy Soldier have featured on an 'Ireland's Hottest Acts' CD in Hot Press Magazine and have been lauded by BBC radio DJ Tom Robinson on his show 'BBC Introducing'.

2011 proved an amazing debut for the band. Having released two critically acclaimed singles Toy Soldier embarked on an extensive international touring schedule.

The trio supported some amazing acts (LostBoy AKA Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, Darwin Deez, British Sea Power) and also hit the major Irish Summer festivals including the Electric Picnic Body and Soul Stage.

To round off the year Toy Soldier were nominated in the Sexiest Video category at the IMTV awards.

2012 will see the band release their debut album 'Calling Up The Dusk' with autumn tour dates to boot. Watch out 2012... It's happening!

"Waterford foursome Kodakid clearly did their homework before creating 'Shake Skin', a sultry, swagger-drenched piece of blues rock that could easily be a lost Black Keys number. Look out for the dirty guitar solo at the end - totally predictable yet totally worth it." Celina Murphy, Hot Press
"If this single (Shake Skin) is anything to go by, and if Kodakid can produce an album of the same quality, they could well be one of the biggest things to come out of the Irish music scene in a long time."
Deidre Harrison, Golden Plec
2011 was a highly productive year for indie-rockers Kodakid with two single releases, a UK tour (including being chosen as main support to The Noisettes at the Great Getaway music festival in Manchester) and numerous high profile gigs in some of Ireland's top venues (Cyprus Avenue, The Village, The Forum) under their belt.

Both of the band's releases received an extremely positive response from the public and press alike, with the likes of Roddie Cleere & Jackie Hayden commenting glowingly on the band's musical talents and slick songwriting skills. Their debut single Pray for Some Luck was also chosen by Hot Press, TV3 IMRO & The Daily Mail to feature in their Fighting Chance campaign.

Not ones to stand still and admire their achievements, Kodakid kick-started the new year with the release of their latest single Shake Skin with an accompanying video directed by IMTV award winning director John Loftus.
