2 Million Video Views

It took BalconyTV one year and five months to reach a target of one million video views on YouTube. And we are delighted to say it has only taken us another five months to achieve another million video views. Thats an acceleration we are pretty happy with. The addition of BalconyTV Hamburg and an increased number of featured videos on YouTube has undoubtedly helped this happen. We have an archive now of exactly 887 videos. I wonder does anybody else on YouTube world have more videos? These videos average over 2250 video views each. Our top rated show is the St. Patricks Day Parade 2008 with over 55'000 views. BalconyTV Hamburgs top rated show is Alberto with over 44'000 video views.
A huge thanks to all the amazing acts for their support to date. And thanks to all the others who contributed positive vibes.
The future is exciting for BalconyTV. Its been a tricky learning curve for myself, Tom and Pauline. Internet TV is a new phenomenon. The music industry is in a state of flux. Trying to figure out the best way to operate in this new media world has posed some tough questions, and hence some very awkward choices have had to be made.
But the good news is that we are still here and we hope to make a very good announcement in the days to come, so watch this space.

RATING AND WORLD DOMINATION

We are delighted to have of hit our target of 150'000 video views for the month spread accross the now massive BalconyTV Archive. This is not only fantastic for us, but great too for the many bands and performers who have appeared on the Balconys in both Dublin and Hamburg. The truth is we have hit our target two days ahead of schedule. Once again this is thanks to this mans recent infamy.
The next couple of months are very exciting for BalconyTV. We are planning/hoping to launch a BalconyTV London in April. Touch wood. And we are going offer to license out the format to other cities having already had interest from as far a field as Rome, Sydney, LA, Norway, St. Louis. Quite a few basically. It could all be very very cool.

RATINGS, AWARDS, AND QUIRKY GERMANS

Sorry for the complete lack of bloggage in the last few days. No exuses. I´ve just been lazy. Anyway, BalconyTV shows have been viewed 100´000 times in the last 16 Days. Due in no small part to the success of Deshonos.
Apart from the BalconyTV has been nominated in the Best Entertainment Category of the Digital Media Awards to be held in February.
And last but not least...you simply have to watch todays show from BalconyTV Hamburg. Classic!
