Hello BTV people... I'm Ruth, the new Producer (sometimes presenter) of Balcony TV London... but before I was a Producer, I was "Ruth the Photographer".
I'm originally from Dublin, Ireland. I've recently moved to London and am settling in quite nicely while meeting lots of fresh meat (bands) to photograph!
In Ireland I shot for Hot Press magazine, Ireland's biggest music mag. There I met many a lovely celeb and had the honour of blowing my ear drums at way too many gigs. Most of these stories and photoshoots can be viewed here on my old blog.
It's worth a look if you like bands such as... well, everyone! That's the joy of this job, one day you're shooting Metallica the next it's Mary Black (that's an Irish reference for all you internationals reading!).
But from now on I shall be posting all my musical pix up here on Balcony TV's homepage! I'll even be posting some ups and downs of shooting this wonderful show including the hangovers, the gigs, the best bands, the worst bands and the stories you probably just won't believe.
