The King Kong Club returns for its sixth season and it is bigger and better!
Thisyears winners get to play 3 shows in NEW YORK CITY over the Patricks
Day Festival Weekend 2011 with flights and accommodation included! The
winning act will also get a photographic documentation of their Big
Apple trip and an Empire State Building publicity photo shoot taken by
rock photographer Ruth Medjber (Ruthless Imagery - Flaming Lips, Rage
Against The Machine, Mercury Rev, Hot Press etc etc) AND get to perform
live on Balcony TV NYC in Times Square!!!
All 5 semi final winners will go to London to play two shows and one appearance on Balcony TV London in one night!
All bands will be interviewed and recorded live for RTE2XM King Kong Radio
All bands will be video recorded for our you tube channel

ladies & gentlemen & boys & girls, The Village on Wexford
Street plays host to the weekly musical extravaganza which sees 6 acts
go head to head playing three songs each in a cauldron of excitement.
Then we roll out our famous Clap-O-Meter;
a gigantic, scientifically homemade replica of The Empire State
Building which lights up to the ecstatic reaction of an audience going
bananas. The winner then goes forward on a journey through a perilous
musical jungle until we are left with the King of the Kong, the grand
prizewinner!

Last years winners where The Hot Sprockets.
They went to Portugal for 10 days, all expenses paid, to record with
Boz Boorer - Morrissey's guitarist and musical director - in his studio
villa...CONGRATS…
Now in its 6th season, the infamous King Kong Club has an incredible prize to offer this years winner - In association with The Village, Becks Vier, MusicMaker, Balcony TV, Eardrumbuzz, CorkScrew Music, KnockanStockan andJewel DC Publishing . The overall winning band will go to New York City for Patrick's day weekend. They will Play 3 shows, plus a photographic documentation with Ruth Medjber, a photo shoot at the Empire State Building.
