Pick for The Picnic 2010
Electric Picnic has always been known for it’s eclectic lineups with all kinds of acts and music from across the globe gracing its’ stages as well as breaking new acts in Ireland for the first time. As well as it’s wonderful location, of course, this is what makes Electric Picnic special.
This year we’re offering the opportunity for up and coming Irish acts to showcase their talent and be in with a chance to get a much coveted slot at one of the most popular festivals in Europe.
In July and August The Pod are running a special showcase competition called PICK FOR THE PICNIC, especially for Ireland’s most interesting, eclectic, emerging talents and we’re looking for you to get in touch if you think you should be playing at this year’s Electric Picnic!
There will be four heats and the winners of each will make it to the final held on Friday 20th August. A panel of judges from the music industry will judge the showcase. So if you think you’ve got what it takes, email Dave Parle on dave@pod.ie with your myspace/website and a bit about yourself.
Performers of all styles of music are welcome to apply.
The four heats will be held on 15/22/29th July and 3rd August.
The Final will be held on Friday 20th August.
