of Montreal has announced the UK release date of their highly
anticipated 10th album. ‘False Priest’ will be available 13th
September in the UK/Europe and 14th in North America on CD, LP and
digital formats through Polyvinyl Records. The LP once again features
artwork from Apollinaire Rave's David Barnes and Gemini Tactics (as
mentioned on Pitchfork).
The album features the lead single, ‘Coquet Coquette’ which is

‘False Priest’ features 13 tracks and was co-produced by of
Montreal front man Kevin Barnes and Grammy-nominated producer Jon
Brion (Kanye West, Fiona Apple, Rufus Wainwright). As previously
reported, the new LP features guest appearances from critically
acclaimed artists Janelle Monáe and Solange Knowles. The album was
initially recorded at Barnes' Apollinaire Rave studios in Athens, GA,
with Brion handling additional re-recording, mixing and engineering at
Ocean Way Recording in Los Angeles, CA.
