Monday evening I toddled along to shoot some more amazing new bands for BTV:LDN. It was my first shoot with our lovely new lady presenter Colleen (more to come about Coll later, don't worry, you'll LOVE her!).
Now, little did we know that we were going to encounter such mayhem as Grace Potter and The Nocturnals.

If you haven't heard about these guys yet don't panic, that's what BTV is here for!
We'll soon put up a video of their performance. They laughed, cried, fell over, did back flips, and had one of the sexiest on air sneezes even recorded. And wow, can they play!!!
3 handsome men with tashs to be envious of (and I'm a girl) and 2 phhhhooooawwrrrr women who can certainly grab your attention. Not a show to miss I assure you.
After this madness, I hopped on a painfully early flight back to the Motherland (Dublin). I visit Dublin an awful lot as I still shoot for Hot Press Magazine from time to time. This week I had the pleasure of photographing 3 of Ireland's most talented young musicians, Daniel from The Rags, Conor from Cast Of Cheers and Jeremy who is also known as R.S.A.G (Rarely Seen Above Ground).
All the results can be seen up on my main Photo blog here!
But here's a sneaky pic for now....

After this madness... the tables were quickly turned. I was shot! And it was horrific.
Stellar magazine drafted me in for an interview on what it's like to be a Rock Photographer during festival season. I mentioned the usual: covered in mud, running around like a mad woman, meeting your idols while looking the most ming you have ever looked. Oh and alcohol... I seemed to have mentioned a serious amount of alcohol. Which I think is fair. Festivals shouldn't be all work, if you can fit in 3 trips to the bar between headline bands then I think it's only fair that photographers should get just as hammered as the audience! ;)
The article will be out next month I think, and it includes a festival themed photoshoot. I have never been more terrified of a photoshoot in my entire life. Nor will I ever look at my poor subjects the same way again. They must be terrified of the photographer, I know I was.
here's what i saw...Stylist, Journalist and Photographer. Each lovely women...but God I was scared sh*tless.

The next and final exciting thing to happen to me this week was an invite onto RTE 2XM Radio!
The King Kong Radio show had me on to discuss life as a Music Photographer. There's nothing I like more than discussing snapping, so I happily agreed. We had a 10 minute slot, I talked for 25 (told ya!). The full interview will be linked soon as Podcast. I'm gonna screen it first to make sure I don't sound like a massive div.
That's all she wrote for now folks...
Peace n Fucking,
x
