We took to the road yesterday (well railways really) and ended up in sunny Brighton for The Great Escape Festival! We shot about 15 bands on our new make shift "balcony" right on the seaside!
Brighton is amazing. It's exactly what you would expect a British seaside resort to be, merry-go-rounds, chip shops, seagulls, hen parties and larger louts. The thing that honestly surprised me most was the amount of talented bands down there. I think it may be time for a more permanent balcony down in Brighton.
We split the filming day 50/50 between local bands and internationals (sure it's only fair!).
The Brighton natives really blew us away....check out, The Perils & Sweet Sweet Lies in particular. And for the out-of-towner bands, Mother Mother (Vancouver) & Blackchords (Aussie).
They all did an acoustic number for us in true Balcony style which will feature on the site soon!
