'bone' are a two piece Kilkenny based band, Mike Ryan and Geri
Doyle Ryan. As recording artistes both Mike and Geri have recorded with
different labels in the past, Mike with EMI Records when lead singer
with Tuesday Blue and Geri and Mike with Island Records and Blackmarket
Records. Most recently doing independent recording. 'bone' have been
together 12 years, playing with various guest musicians, i.e. drummer,
guitarists, multi-instrumentalists etc. Now performing stripped down
with just the two of them, their sound swings from raw, bare and
beautiful to down and dirty , described recently as 'an audio road
trip'. Over the years together, 'bone' have lived and played/toured in
USA/New York, London and Dublin. After a fun filled and busy year with
music, their performance at the 'Electric Picnic' being the highlight,
'bone' are currently writing/recording an album and are also mid
extended residency in Cleere's Theatre, Kilkenny. That, is a very
sketchy and abbreviated synopsis of the journey of 'bone'.
