One day, Stephen, Tom and Pauline were sitting in their apartment on
Dublin’s Dame Street. It was a very sunny day. The view from the
apartment balcony was particularly beautiful on this day, which is rare
enough in Dublin.
‘We should get better use out of this balcony’ said Stephen. ‘Any ideas?’
Pauline made a cup of tea.
‘What about a television station on a balcony?’ Tom said half jokingly.
Stephens producer instinct took over. ‘BalconyTV’ he thought to himself.
A few days later, BalconyTV was launched. It was that simple.
Once upon a time we did. But not anymore…
For the past couple of years we’ve been doing it as well as we could
while holding down paying jobs. So the short answer is ‘no’. That’s not
to say we are against it in the future.
We currently have a huge demand to be on BalconyTV. We have pages and
pages of emails and MySpace requests. So we listen to everybody who
asks, and try and pick the best we hear.
We’ve had requests to set up BalconyTVs from all around the world. As
we had friends in Hamburg, we suggested in might be more manageable to
set up one there.
