NO U2

We got official confirmation yesterday that U2 won't be performing at the BalconyTV Music Video Awards next month. No fear, as we have a great line up planned which we hope to announce next week. Look out for the nominations on Mondays show.

BALCONYTV MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS 2008 - NOMINATIONS NEXT WEEK

We've set the date for the BalconyTV Music Video Awards 2008. The night will take place on June 20th - a Friday night - in Dublins Sugar Club.
Last years event was great with the likes of Red Kid, Leanne Harte, Eleanor McEvoy, and Paul Brady performing.
We are just finalizing the line up for this years event which we hope to announce very soon, and we also plan to announce the nominations next Monday on a special BalconyTV! There will be 8 categories this year which will include the Best of BalconyTV Hamburg. So the competition should be very strong.

The news is in. Alas BalconyTV has been defeated in its galliant crusade for a Webby.
We just found out that 'Chocolate Rain' won the Peoples Choice Award. And my favourite, but definite outsider 'Here Comes Another Bubble' won the judges vote.
I'm off to eat a big bowl of sour grapes.

BalconyTV Brings Couple Together

The Hamburg Flirt-Expert Nina Deißler and the Berlin Musician Claudius Mach married yesterday on BalconyTV Hamburg

Last October, Hamburg Flirt-Coach Nina Deißler spotted Berlin musician Claudius Mach singing a song about his suicidal Hamster Freddy on the award winning internet music show BalconyTV.

After Nina Deißler spotted Claudius Mach on Balcony TV, she contacted him via Myspace. Seven days and fifty-seven e-mails later the two decided to meet up.

“Somebody performing on a tiny balcony above the Reeperbahn and singing a song about a Hamster who wants to kill himself is crazy enough for me!”, Nina says about her husband-to-be.

For Claudius and Nina, it was love at first sight. “I knew, those eyes would not disappoint me” said Claudius after meeting Nina for the first time.

On the second date, only two weeks after she saw him on Balcony TV for the first time, Claudius decided the time was right to pop the question.

The virtual aquaintance became a real marriage yesterday and was celebrated in style on BalconyTV Hamburg.
