Sorry for the complete lack of bloggage in the last few days. No exuses. I´ve just been lazy. Anyway, BalconyTV shows have been viewed 100´000 times in the last 16 Days. Due in no small part to the success of Deshonos. Apart from the BalconyTV has been nominated in the Best Entertainment Category of the Digital Media Awards to be held in February. And last but not least...you simply have to watch todays show from BalconyTV Hamburg. Classic!
Its been about a week since our BalconyTV camera stopped working. We've resorted to using a more pricey camera now, with gazillions of buttons. Scary stuff for me, who was more than happy to keep it simple. In truth I am quite daunted by complications. But yesterday was a terrible day. It all started out when our external hard drive, which we use to store all our daily shows becoming full. That simply meant that we had to buy another one. But as Christmas is bananas, and everyone is buying everything, the only one on the shelf was a 250 Euro TEREBYTE hard drive. I didn't even know there was such thing as a terabyte. Then when I went to have a shower...OH NO!!!! No pressure! Broken motor we think. Or fuse. Diagnosis negative basically. Still not fixed, so yes its true, we smell. If that wasn't enough, our wireless Apple keyboard then decided to follow suit and pack it in. Just stopped working. It works of batteries you see, so I tinkered, and shook, and rolled, and did everything basically. Pain in the neck. I had to run over to the Apple store in the 02 Experience on Grafton Street. No keyboards, apart from another wireless job. I don't trust these wireless things anymore. Anyway, there goes another 80 squid. And if that wasn't enough. The BalconyTV balcony lights have gone again. The literally exploded, leaving a horrible buring rubber smell. Bahhhhhhh, Humbug!
Kudos to Deshonos who performed on BalconyTV earlier in the week. Somehow, due to the grace of God we imagine, they have managed to get featured on the front page of YouTube Ireland. Featuring on the front page of YouTube Ireland = Over 10'000 views. Golly.
Drop over the BalconyTV Hamburg. They are doing a cool advent calender in the lead up to crimbo. They have also played with the opening jingle, and the logo. Very cool. Here is part eight of the BalconyTV Music Video Awards. In this part Lauren Guillery is presented with the award for Best World Music. Lauren was quick to point out that her music is not world music. Ahhhh yes Lauren, but you are French, and hence your music is...eh...Frenchish. Hmmmm.
Myself Pauline and Tom were all in agreement that Jerry Seinfelds appearance on the Toy Show was shambolic. I have never been a 'PatHater'myself but he showed serious limitations in his presentation skills on Friday night. Jerry Seinfeld is arguably the biggest guest Kenny has ever had. Arguably. This is a man who starred and produced one of Amercicas highest rated shows of all time. And arguably the greatest. Arguably. So it was a coo for the Late Late Show. But after Kenny mispronounced Seinfelds name, you knew it was going to be bad. Seinfeld looked incredibly awkward as Kennys approach was more wooden than could be believed. It was clear that Kenny was pretty unfamiliar with Seinfeld, and thus the whole thing lasted just over a minute. I imagine Seinfeld bolted out of Montrose, onto his private jet, never to return again. And sure why would you? Awful stuff. Anyways 100'000 more views in 21 days. Not bad, not bad.
