Went to see 'Garage' yesterday. The film is about loneliness, the unjustness of life and how rural Ireland messes with your head. Pat Short is fantastic in the lead role, but after only a few minutes into the film your realise...this character is too nice...something bad is going to happen to him. The whole movie you watch and think, oh no...here we go. Lo and beholdst something bad does happen. The film comes across depressing for depressings sake. Pity really. There could maybe have been something else there.
