POLICE THE CROWDS!

Went to see The Police last night who were fantastic. Pity about the crowd though.
I got a last minute expensive freebie. Miles back from the stage. Why pay so much, when so far back?
Anyway, I can't stand being so removed from gigs anymore. Everybody sits down, and its all so formal. Its like going to see a play. And when you stand, all you can hear is...'tut', 'sit down will you, I'm trying to see the concert', 'forgod sake'.
You have people who want to stay at the bar as long as they can before hand, and then annoyingly go to their seats half way through the first song (which is always a biggie). So they miss half of 'Message in a Bottle' and ruin the other half for people who actually want to see the gig.
Then two songs later they have to go to the jacks (toilet if you will). Up they get again.
Then they come back 10 minutes later.
Then they they don't recognise two songs, hmmmm, time for another beer. Up they get again.
Ofcoarse, the band then plays their biggest hit, something like 'Roxanne', back they come, half way through ofcoarse.
The band comes back after the encore. Up they get again. Want to get out before the crowds ofcoarse.
This is no exageration as to what it was like. Infact it was much worse.
Up, down, up, down, up, down.
These are the type of people who never go to concerts, who fail to keep up with music, and just go to say 'Yeah, I went to the Police last week'. 'Ah great yeah'.
I think if you go to a concert like The Police you should be given a bathroom card, which you can use only once. If you get up a second time, thats it, your out. These people completly kill the atmosphere of concerts.
I guess it is the bands greed in a way which is to blame. By playing such large venues, you get every Tom Dick and Harry along.
I recall going to a U2 concert a couple of years back in Croker. Half the people didn't have a clue. Just there for the sake of it. Talking through the whole thing.
What I wouldn't give for a large sock with horse manure in it!

We want more. They don't have to be music related! But we do want good design and entertaining websites. They don't have to have any real point. They can be as Pauline might say 'artsy fartsy' when refering to any film that doesn't have Adam Sandler.
