ENNIO THE GREAT

After taping Danny Burns for BalconyTV last night, myself Tom and Pauline did indeed sit in and watch the Oscars over a few tinnys. How romantic is that? Must be said the highlights were a bit of a dud. Certainly the Sky One version was. I was upset they cut Ellens opening monologue. The opening monologues are usually quite entertaining...so I think that was a mistake. Also upset to see they didn't show the Lifetime Achievement Award which went to the legendary Ennio Marricone. If your not familiar with Ennio Marricone...he is responsible for some of the greatest film scores of all time.
Rambling through YouTube I found jamesthepenguin who seems to have a whole live concert from Marricone uploaded. Here is one of my favourite Marricone pieces...from Cinema Paradiso. Check out The Good the Bad and the Ugly too!!!
